Notes
Course selection
Click here for a list of the universities' course catalogues.
Be aware that students are at some universities required to take at least two or three modules from the exact academic area of the Inter-Institutional Agreement that the student is nominated under (e.g. at Prague and Limerick).
Teaching degree students
Teaching degree students are obliged to conduct their stay abroad at a university which teaches in English.
Exception: If your second subject is another language, the stay can also take place at a university which teaches in this language.
Number of places
The number of places indicates how many semesters per academic year are available to students from the English department. For example, “2 BA/MA” means that either two students from the Bachelor's and Master's programmes can study there for one semester each or that one student can study there for two subsequent semesters, which makes an entire academic year.
Duration of stay
We recommend going abroad for a full academic year whenever possible. If you only want to go abroad for one semester, please also consider applying for the summer semester as it is much easier to find accommodation and courses are more readily available.
An extension of the Erasmus study period can be realised occasionally. Only winter semester students can apply for an extension.
