Colloquium
A colloquium (pl. colloquia) is a module in which you can workshop and finalise your thesis topic in a conversation with your peers. You can also receive feedback on your thesis from your peers as well as your lecturer. Completing this module is a prerequisite for finishing your thesis.
Prerequisites and Registration
You can register for a colloquium 108 Credit Points have been booked to your transcript for your Major.
You register the colloquium just like any other course on Basis.
You do not have to have a final topic for your thesis in mind when you register, but you should have a general idea of what area of studies you would like to write your thesis in.
There are several colloquia available. Please choose the one that corresponds the closest with your general topic.
If you are a Double BA student, you have to register for a colloquium only if you want to write your thesis in English Studies or combine both your subjects. You will need to have at least 54 CP in your transcript for English Studies.

During the colloquium, you will have to present your thesis topic to your peers. You will then receive feedback from them as well as your lecturer.
This is to help you finalise your topic if you have not yet done so, to help you if you are stuck in your research, and to give you ideas and impulses you may not have considered before.
Additionally, you will be able to learn from your peers and their work methods when they present their topics.
