My name is Khadra Yasmina Meridja, a second-year Ph.D. student in Applied Linguistics at
Constantine1 University, Algeria. Graduating with outstanding honours, I received a Bachelor
degree in English Language and a Master degree in Language Sciences from Setif2
University, Algeria. My research interests include English for Specific Purposes (ESP),
discourse analysis and corpus linguistics. My ongoing thesis mainly studies interactional
patterns in spoken academic discourse, aiming to contribute to the field of ESP in Algeria.
BEAL will help me gain new insights in Applied Linguistics by providing a rich
learning environment, access to extensive resources, opportunities for academic
engagement, and participation in seminars and workshops.
