Fifth Bonn Applied English Linguistics Conference

The BAELc5 was focused on language use, culture and politeness, and took place on 3rd and 4th June 2016. Our keynote speaker was Professor Helen Spencer-Oatey from the University of Warwick, UK, delivering a talk on "How, and to what extent, does culture influence evaluations of politeness?"
